Year 12Students in Year 12 can access a broad range of pathway choices with a large variety of VCE classes to choose from. If subjects are not offered, or cannot be run due to small class sizes, we offer Distance education subjects and support where possible. At the end of Year 12 some of our students choose to enter the work force whilst many choose to go on to further education. Students may select from a range of engaging “hands-on “subjects, to challenging academic Year 12 units and even enhancement courses run by both Melbourne and Monash Universities. Throughout the year we organise speakers for our level meetings that prepare students for moving on from secondary education. These speakers cover such diverse topics as Keeping Safe in the City, moving out of home and into accommodation, alcohol and drug awareness, safe sex practices, Centre link services, Residential College life and sessions from tertiary institutions on how to apply for courses and accommodation. We also utilise past students as speakers on a range of topics. We actively encourage students to participate in the College production, SRC, running of the school sports days and the Talent Quest. Specific support for students is offered via the Student Wellbeing Team and year level co-ordinators. School Support Services provide a range of counselling support for Year 12 students experiencing issues that impact on their education.
