BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL SUPERVISION PARENT NOTIFICATION

Student safety at Horsham College is our highest priority and the safe and appropriate supervision of students is an important element of our duty of care to students. Part of this duty is ensuring parents and students are aware of our student supervision arrangements before and after school.

Before school:

Baillie Street Main Campus
School grounds are supervised from 8:30am until 8:50am, at school entrances/exits, along Baillie Street and High Street South. Students should not walk through the car parks as these are always out of bounds.

The bus terminal is supervised from 8:00am until 8:50am.

McKenzie Creek Campus
School grounds are not supervised before school, as students travel to the Campus together from Dimboola Road Campus. If parents/guardians or students are making their own travel arrangements, they will not be able to enter the Campus, as it is locked. The entire campus is restricted, until teachers arrive with students at 9am.

Alternate Programs Dimboola Road Campus
School grounds are supervised from 8:45am until 9:00am. Students are required to stay on the Dimboola Roadside of the double storey building.

After school:

Baillie Street Main Campus
School grounds are supervised from 3:20pm until 3:40pm at school entrances/exits, along Baillie Street and High Street South. Students should not walk through the car parks as these are always out of bounds.

The bus terminal is supervised from 3:20pm until 4:10pm.

McKenzie Creek Campus
School grounds are not supervised at the end of the school day, as McKenzie Creek program is run from either Dimboola Road or Mainstream Campus in the afternoons. The entire campus is restricted.

Alternate Programs Dimboola Road Campus
School grounds are supervised from 3:20 until 3:45pm. Students are required to stay on the Dimboola Roadside of the double storey building.

Students on school grounds outside these times will not be supervised (unless they are attending a before or after school supervised extracurricular activity – for example After School Help Sessions).
Parents/carers are requested to ensure that students do not attend school outside of these supervised times unless they are attending a pre-arranged supervised activity (i.e. sports practice).
Parents/carers are encouraged to contact their relevant Assistant Principal on 5381 7100 for any further information about our student supervision arrangements.
